Types of Plans

What type of Medicare Plan should I get?

Most people will look at two types of Medicare plans to help pay what Medicare alone does not cover.

  • A Medigap Supplement Health Plan with a separate Prescription Drug plan. You pay a monthly premium for each policy and premiums will go up each year. It does not include extra benefits. There is No Network. Most plans do have an outpatient medical deductible and there are no copayments;
  • An Advantage Health Plan where most companies include Prescription Drug Plan combined into one policy. You pay a low premium or a $0 monthly premium. The premium typically will not go up. Advantage Plan does include extra benefits such as Dental, Vision, Hearing, Meals after hospital stay, Over the counter products shipped to your home, Gym membership, Teledoc, and More. There is a Network however, in some plans you are allowed to go out of network at a higher copay. Most of these plans there is no medical deductible. There are copays.
